**Swamp Circus Trust** is a charity focused on using circus skills to improve the lives of children, young people and adults. Our highly experienced entertainers deliver outstanding performances, alongside team building workshops, channelling profits into our educational project Circo Kernow. As part of this project we run subsidised after-school clubs to improve health and well-being in the local community. We are specialists in dance, acrobatics, aerial, fire, glow, comedy, mime productions.

Alongside our arts and culture programmes we offer BTEC qualifications in both performing arts and horticulture.

We are currently working on our Future Vision project which started in the late end of 2023. Future Vision is funded by the UK Government as part of Levelling Up.

**This role** is on a freelance basis and will be based in our office at 10 Lower Market Street, Penryn TR10 8BG. Hours are approximately ten per week at £15 per hour.

We are looking for someone with a strong background in administration who has a flair for creativity and will be happy to work on marketing of events and associated administration tasks.

This will include: support in event coordination, receiving phone calls and managing enquiries, supporting the management team with liaison with artists and clients, social media, venue hire, taking minutes, accurate updating of participants attending events and relevant feedback forms.

Person Specification Essential:

- Experience working with events co-ordination
- 2 years working within an office environment
- Experience with MS Office (particularly Word and Excel)
- Basic book-keeping knowledge
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work independently, innovatively and efficiently

Desirable:

- Tier 2 Safeguarding
- Own transport

Additional information
- A DBS check will be required
- Additional accreditations will need to be taken if you do not already have these in place
- Occasionally includes unsociable working hours (evenings and weekends)
- 10 hours per week - may increase over busy months.
- The post will be based at our office in Penryn, Cornwall
- Mileage allowance paid at 45p per mile
