Continuous Improvement Manager

A Continuous Improvement (CI) Manager is needed to identify & implement continuous improvement strategies within a successful manufacturing business.
Working closely with the Operations, Production and Engineering Managers you will be responsible for the identification, definition, justification and leading the implementation of continuous improvements initiatives to enhance operations performance Youwill determine continuous improvement goals and objectives, contribute to and support operations strategy through continuous improvement methods to help achieve operational goals. You will also foster, drive and sustain a culture of Continuous Improvementwhilst identifying and negotiating resource availability in support of continuous improvement initiatives.
In addition to this you will identify and prioritise projects for Continuous improvement, determine what improvements require full project scope and what can be "just do" as well as leading and implementing quick win (Kaizen events). You will focus on wasteand cycle time reduction, share best practice with international colleagues and engage employees at all levels in CI initiatives.
To succeed within this role you will need previous experience of leading continuous improvement and lean manufacturing projects, have experience of leading internal and project teams and be able to demonstrate a track record of successfully implementingimprovement programmes.
Strong communication skills and the ability to inspire confidence and develop effective working relationships is key to ensuring the successful management and monitoring of improvement programmes. A good understanding of manufacturing practices and the abilityto review practices and consider alternative suggestions is essential.
