Our retained client is seeking an enthusiastic Commis Chef to join their busy restaurant, just out of Colchester. This gastro pub has a very high reputation for producing fantastic food, and is well known for in the local area for their changing seasonalmenu.

As Commis Chef, this will be your first step on the ladder to becoming an accomplished chef. You will be responsible for food preparation and basic cooking under the supervision of the Sous and Head Chef.

This is an opportunity to learn and develop in your chosen profession in a busy, successful and thriving restaurant kitchen with an excellent reputation for a seasonal, produce driven menu.

Key responsibilities:

- Maintaining high standards of Hygiene
- Preparing the ingredients for the Sous and Head Chef
- Dealing with deliveries and stock rotation
- You will need to be able to learn on your feet and be passionate about food
- You’ll also need to be versatile, so you can develop experience in all sections of the kitchen.

Own transport preferred due to village location, accessible from Colchester, Sudbury and Ipswich.
