**The Role**:
Our motor claims handler is responsible for managing insurance claims related to motor vehicles. You will assess the validity of claims, investigate accidents, collect necessary information, and determine coverage. Additionally, You will communicate with policyholders, repair networks, and other relevant parties to ensure the claims process goes smoothly. Your main goal is to resolve claims fairly and efficiently while adhering to the company's policies and procedures.

**Responsibilities**:
1. Receiving and reviewing motor insurance claims from policyholders or third parties.

2. Investigating the details of the accident or incident to determine coverage and liability.

3. Collecting and analysing relevant documentation, such as police reports, witness statements, and photos of the damage.

4. Communicating with policyholders, claimants, and other involved parties to gather information and provide updates on the claim status.

5. Assessing the extent of damage to the vehicle and coordinating inspections or assessments as needed.

6. Working with repair networks or assessors to obtain repair estimates and ensure timely vehicle repairs.

7. Making decisions on the settlement amount based on the policy coverage and applicable laws and regulations.

8. Negotiating with claimants or their representatives when disputes arise over the claim settlement.

9. Processing claim payments and ensuring that all required documentation is properly recorded.

10. Maintaining accurate records of claims, correspondence, and all relevant activities.

11. Adhering to company guidelines, industry regulations, and ethical standards throughout the claims handling process.

**Experience**:
1. **Insurance Knowledge**: Familiarity with motor insurance policies, coverage options, and claims processes is crucial. Experience in the insurance industry or related fields can be advantageous.

2. **Claims Handling Experience**: Prior experience in processing and managing insurance claims, especially motor-related claims, provides a solid foundation for the role. This includes understanding the steps involved in claim assessment, validation, and settlement.

3. **Customer Service**: Excellent communication and customer service skills are essential, as claims handlers often interact with policyholders, claimants, and other stakeholders during the process.

4. **Organization and Time Management**: Managing multiple claims simultaneously requires strong organizational and time management skills to ensure prompt processing and resolution.

5. **Attention to Detail**: Paying close attention to details helps in accurately assessing claims and avoiding potential errors or oversights.
