**Key Responsibilities**:
- To develop and lead the curriculum for the Design Surveying and Planning T level program, HNC Modern Methods of Construction and Construction Management ensuring it aligns with industry standards, educational guidelines, and the needs of the students
- Deliver engaging and effective lessons, incorporating a variety of teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles. Use both theoretical and practical approaches to enhance understanding. Being flexible with your delivery providing challenge and enabling collaborative working within learning.
- Develop and administer assessments to evaluate students' knowledge and skills. Provide constructive feedback to help them improve and succeed. Tracking progress and preparing for final assessments.
- Organise and oversee practical training sessions, site visits, and hands-on experiences to give students real-world exposure to design surveying and planning practices.
- Provide individualised support and guidance to students who may require extra assistance or have specific learning needs. Identifying these at an early stages to ensure effective learning and progress
- Foster connections with industry professionals, Organisations, and employers to ensure that the program remains up-to-date with the latest trends, technologies, and best practices in design surveying and planning.
- Stay current with developments in the field through continued learning, attending conferences, workshops, and networking with other educators and industry experts.
**Essential Experience**:
- Prior experience in teaching, instructing, or training individuals in a formal or informal educational setting is highly desirable.
- Deep understanding of design surveying and planning principles, techniques, and methodologies.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential for effectively conveying complex concepts to students.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to suit the diverse learning needs of students.
- Excellent Organisational skills to plan and deliver lessons, assessments, and practical training sessions effectively.
- Commitment to staying updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and educational methodologies
- A relevant bachelor's degree or higher in Design Surveying or Planning, Architecture, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Construction or a closely related field.
- Substantial experience (typically at least 5 years) working in the design surveying and planning industry. Practical knowledge of current industry tools, software, and methodologies.
- A good understanding and experience of current industry practice.
- Good understanding of the current Government and national priorities for FE and skills
