A&P North East includes the largest commercial dry-dock on the East coast of England as well as a fabrication facility complete with panel line, rolling, plasma and gas burning machines.

Our Health, Safety and Environment team make sure that we are operating with A&P's number one priority at the front of everything, to safeguard the safety and wellbeing of our staff, customers and sub-contractors.

**So what will you do?**
- You'll learn to support and maintain our team's awareness of the potential for unplanned losses of people, time, reputation and equipment.
- It's a varied role where you'll get the chance to learn how to work across all safety principles and standards, training in those areas you've not experienced previously
- As we work within a heavy industry so you'll get the opportunity to play a great part in ensuring that through our safety culture process program, we all return home safe and healthy at the end of every working day
- You'll learn how to monitor conformance with health, safety & environmental regulations as well as A&P procedures
- Once you've mastered that you will start to assist others in the investigation, reporting and recommend actions on accidents, incidents, near misses and non-conformances to drive positive change and improvements
- As part of our shared values with a focus on responsibility and sustainability practices you be trained on how to carry out risk assessments and safe systems of work and following that provide advice on health, safety, environmental and quality
- When you're fully trained, you'll review project requirements, and the impact on advice you give while maintaining legislation in a professional, competent manner with colleagues, customers and contractors will be your strength

- Natural leadership skills when working on projects and within teams
- A desire to understand engineering within marine and fabrication
- Physical fitness and the ability and desire to work in outdoor conditions
