We provide a range of services from **one-off garden clearances** to **year-round garden maintenance**.

Regularly working directly alongside the business owner during your first year, you will have the opportunity to continue develop your **horticultural knowledge** while gaining valuable **hands-on experience** of efficiently maintaining gardens to a **high standard**.

As an i**ntegral member of the team**, you will undertake a number of **responsibilities** and take pride in **caring for our customers **with private gardens and business grounds throughout Bournemouth & Poole.

For the **right person**, there are opportunities to **progress rapidly**.

We are also keen to hear from applicants who have previously worked or are currently working as **self-employed gardeners.** Or **gardeners currently in employment,** with aspirations of one day becoming their own boss.

**Responsibilities will include**:
Working alongside the business owner and another gardener, you will be assisting with a wide variety of tasks including:

- Developing and maintaining good customer relationships.
- Driving a large LWB van between jobs - (A full clean UK driver's license is essential).
- Loading/unloading and carrying of tools and equipment.
- General gardening duties such as planting, weeding, pruning, and deadheading.
- Operating machinery including, mowers, hedge cutters, blowers, strimmers, etc. This is a **physically demanding role**

You **MUST** be willing to work outdoors, year-round in **all weathers.** - Suitable Uniform and PPE is provided.
- Live within Bournemouth or Poole.
- Have previous experience within the garden maintenance industry and a passion for gardening.
- Be confident and able to work on own initiative.
- Be a confident driver with previous experience driving large vans or similar vehicles.
- Be physically fit and have a positive, can-do approach.
- Have good plant knowledge and understanding of horticultural practices.
- Be keen to learn with a desire to improve and progress.
- Good practical skills in garden maintenance or a similar role.
- A polite and professional manner with good communication skills.
- Ability to follow health and safety practices and operate various garden machinery.
- The integrity to complete jobs unsupervised and remain self-motivated.
- PA1 and PA6 Spraying Licenses would be beneficial.
- Good time-keeping skills and ability to complete a range of tasks within a set time frame.
- Be flexible and happy to work longer or shorter days and occasional overtime to suit the needs of the business.
- Ideally you will be available to work Monday-Friday 7:30am - 6:30pm (March-November) and 8:30am - 4:30pm (December-February). However, actual start and finish times can be discussed to accommodate other commitments such as childcare and days will likely vary in length. Typically 30-45 hours per week year-round.
