**Part-Time SEN Teaching Assistant**

Location: Shrewsbury

**Salary**: £80 - £95 per day

**The School/role**:
I am working with an Ofsted rated 'Good' SEN school based in Shrewsbury that is seeking a passionate and resilient part-time teaching assistant to join their team. As a Part-Time SEN Teaching Assistant, you'll be an integral part of the team, providing invaluable support to students aged 11 to 19 with a range of additional needs, including moderate and severe learning difficulties and/or disabilities. Your role will involve working closely with experienced educators to deliver tailored lessons and activities, as well as providing one-to-one support to students to ensure their academic, social, and emotional development.

The team within the school are very supportive and will help you along the way. The staff in the school aim to give the best possible educational experience for their students. This job opportunity is very fulfilling for people who have teaching assistant experience.

A new enhanced DBS will be needed for this role or a subscription to the DBS update service.

**Requirements**:

- Qualified Teaching Assistant OR Relevant SEN Background
- PECS and Makaton training/experience
- ASD, SEMH, Non-verbal, PMLD, MLD, visual impairment needs experience
- Level 1 safeguarding certificate
- Recent school based references
- Valid Photo ID - Driving Licence or passport
- Full DBS - on the update service
