Scarinish Beach Hotel is situated right next to the beach and the small, sunny island of Tiree offers surfing, swimming, live music events, outdoor walks and coastline views. Free accommodation on the island is also provided as part of the role.
The Scarinish Hotel is looking for an efficient and proactive KP to work in our kitchen, assisting our chef to serve our 50-cover table restaurant.
**Duties include**:
- Assisting the chef team in food prep, peeling, chopping, cooking etc.
- Clean and sanitise kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas
- Wash dishes, pots, pans, and other kitchenware
- Assist with receiving and storing food supplies, organising stock etc.
- Dispose of trash and recyclables properly
- Follow all health, safety and allergy regulations in the kitchen
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient operations
**Experience**:
- Previous experience working in a kitchen / food service environment is preferred
- Knowledge of basic culinary techniques is a plus
- Ability to work quickly and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong attention to detail and cleanliness
- Great teamwork and listening skills
In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting our chefs by assisting with food preparation, maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen, and ensuring smooth operations. This is a full-time position (40+ hours per week)
**Job Types**: Full-time, Temp to perm, Freelance
**Salary**: £10.50 per hour
