**IT Security Analyst**

3 days a week onsite

Our client, a well known organisation headquartered in Dorking are currently searching for a talented IT Security Analyst to join their team on a permanent basis. This role will be based onsite 3 days a week at their Dorking office, a short walk from alltrain stations and will allow the Security Analyst a chance to work in a great environment whilst also improving their IT Security skillset.

**Role responsibilities**:

- Responsible for safeguarding information system assets
- Protect systems by defining access privileges, control structures and resource
- Ensure all legislative and internal regulations and policies are communicated, implemented and maintained
- Determine security violations and inefficiencies by conducting regular audits
- Assist with implementation of security controls and maintain ongoing awareness and company-wide training
- Identify and solve potential and actual security problems
- Assess the current situation, evaluating trends and anticipate future security requirements
- Keep stakeholders informed by preparing performance reports and regularly communicate system status
- Maintain quality service by following organisation standards
- Maintain technical knowledge by attending educational workshops
- Contribute to all relevant change boards highlight any security concerns
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed

**Essential skills**
- Proven work experience in a similar security role
- Hands-on experience analysing high volumes of logs, network data and other attack artifacts
- Experience with vulnerability scanning solutions
- Proficiency with antivirus and security software
