**Unitrust Protection Services (UK) Ltd have an exciting opportunity available for a Loading Bay Supervisor to join our team.**

**Job Title: Loading Bay Supervisor Location: London**

**Rate: £13.72 per hour Contracted Hours: 60 Hours PW**

**Role**:
As a Loading Bay Supervisor, you will oversee the loading bay operation in conjunction with client’s team. You will support the delivery of a truly exceptional customer journey for both staff and visitors.

**Responsibilities**:

- Deliver outstanding customer service to staff and visitors
- Be flexible and adaptable to all tasks or challenges
- Ensure all contact, be it internal or external; by telephone, face to face or any other medium; is clear, courteous, polite, professional and respectful
- Appropriate use of CCTV/access control and any other electronic management system, and completion of reports and documentation in a timely fashion
- To support internal and external audit processes from Unitrust Security representatives, Client/Tenant Representatives, the SIA, any other relevant body with a relevant interest and valid reason for inspection or compliance checks
- To be resilient to working in the most sensitive environments, dealing with any conflict with a respectful and empathic approach at all times
- Be prepared to manage a wide variety and diversity of scenarios, people and challenges
- Assist in the induction, development or ongoing training of new team members across the disciplines where appropriate

**LOADING BAY SPECIFIC DUTIES**:

- Manage access to the building via the Loading Bay
- Verify that vehicle owners are approved for parking and keep a record of occupancy
- Check Work/Access permits are in place for contractors and communicate with the Security Control Room to ensure that the correct levels of access are given for those contractors
- Indicate and manage delivery/drop off locations
- Ensure that the Loading Bay gate is secure when not in use
- Control parking in the Loading Bay at all times, ensuring access to the lifts is not obstructed
- Ensure access routes are and that all Fire Point’s and emergency exit routes remain clear
- Manage the Loading Bay during a building evacuation, operating the Roller Shutter where necessary
- Train CSOs and other colleagues as required in all aspects of the Loading Bay role
- Overall management of all Loading Bay activity
- The Loading Bay Security Supervisor is a part of the Control Team and is expected to cover the Supervisor or Controller as required. They will need to carry out all of the relevant duties of a Supervisor or Controller during this period, including (but not limited to) answering the radio and control room phone, pass creation/alteration, CCTV monitoring, updating the Daily Occurrence Book and participating in contingencies and incidents

**SECURITY SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Ensuring that no unauthorised persons are permitted in prohibited areas
- Early identification and mitigation of any threats to persons, premises or property, escalating where appropriate to do so
- Have an outstanding knowledge of the premises (inside and external) and able to assist staff, clients, tenants and visitors with their queries
- Direct all deliveries as required (to the Loading Bay)
- Respond to alarms
- Record details of any suspected criminal activity on the premises (internal and external); commencing investigative procedures prior to onward reporting where necessary.

- Computer literate and confident with the use of Microsoft Office programmes and loading bay management systems
- Demonstrate an awareness of security threats which remain relevant and up to date in the context of the current environment
- Flexibility in regard to working practices, hours and responsibilities.
- Current SIA Licence holder
- Enhanced communication, listening and customer service skills or the ability to train, obtain, retain and develop further in this field.
- First Aid at work or the ability to train and retain this qualification
