**Job Title** Technical Team Design Lead

**Department/Section **Design and Manufacturing

**Main purposes of job**
- Create new product designs - work with Directors to design and create products made from têxtiles using an industrial sewing machine and associated tools.
- Improve existing products - review existing products with a view to making improvements.
- Take ideas through concept to design to production - create prototypes and work with Directors to achieve a finished product fit for sale.
- Communicate clear instructions to manage and train production team members on new and updated products.

**Key tasks**
- Contribute ideas and solutions for new and existing products
- Create prototypes and trouble shoot design flaws / issues
- Create patterns / templates and SOP’s
- Communicate clear instructions to team members to achieve standardised production

**Key Skills**
- Creative / problem solving / solution focussed
- Highly competent using an industrial sewing machine
- Methodical approach
- Create patterns / templates / SOP’s
- Explain and instruct new designs

**Reporting to**

Directors

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

**Salary**: From £13.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Middlesbrough: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- industrial sewing Machinist: 5 years (required)
