**Job Title**: Senior Planner - Preconstruction
**Location**: Cambridge
**Role Overview**:
An exciting opportunity has emerged for a skilled Senior Planner to join our client's team as a corporate Senior Planner within Preconstruction. This pivotal role involves managing the Planning and Programming function across key bids in Tender, Preconstruction, and Construction phases. You will collaborate internally with the project team and externally with Clients, Consultants, and other stakeholders to deliver comprehensive and accurate plans and programs.
**Requirements**:
- Tender Planning experience is a must.
- Civil Experience (This means Roads, Railways)
- £85,000 to £95,000
- Full staff benefits package.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Take proactive leadership in planning functions for designated projects, crafting professional and achievable methodologies and programs for both Pre-Construction and Construction phases.
- Determine optimal construction methods and techniques, including identifying temporary works and method-related plant requirements.
- Assess planning scope, major constraints, and contractual obligations, collaborating closely with the project team and supply chain.
- Identify major quantities and factors influencing the program, working collaboratively to ensure accuracy.
- Establish critical paths within the program to guide project execution effectively.
**Requirements**:
- Background in Civil Engineering or Construction with a proven track record in tendering for contractors.
- Extensive experience in planning and programming functions, preferably within the construction industry.
- Proficiency in developing methodologies and programs for both Pre-Construction and Construction phases.
- Strong analytical skills to identify critical paths, constraints, and optimal construction techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Ability to work autonomously and lead planning efforts on assigned projects.
