As one of the country’s leading event caterers, we work closely with our corporate and private clients to understand their needs, to design and plan their event, making the most magical, memorable experiences possible.
**Overview of the Role**:
The role of Sales & Events planner will be naturally proactive in all things, seizing every opportunity to succeed and maximise every sales lead for the Tapenade brand. A self-starter with integrity and the drive to succeed are essential qualities for this position, who is looking to make their mark on this growing business. You will be a self-motivated, target driven individual that will sell and plan the most amazing private events at our portfolio of venues and beyond.
**Reporting to**:Operations Director
**Hours**:40 hours per week
**Responsibilities**:
- Manage the relationship with venue partners and suppliers
- Proactively seek new venue partners for Tapenade Private Events
- Receive and convert incoming enquiries for Tapenade Private Events
- Proactively seek new corporate business for Tapenade
- Attend networking and industry events to generate new opportunities for Tapenade
- Provide analysis on competitor activities
- Deliver on a monthly personal sales target
- Host site visits at partner venues
- Organise and host pre-event meetings and menu tastings as required
- Produce weekly and monthly sales reports
- Produce detailed event sheets 4 weeks in advance of the event to ensure a smooth handover from the sales to operations team
- Produce invoices and manage debtors for Tapenade Private Events
- Work closely with the operations team to deliver exceptional events
- Create, plan and execute the marketing plan for Tapenade
- Manage the social media activity for Tapenade and ensure content and imagery is updated on our websites and online listings
- Ensure bespoke proposals are costed at the required profit margin
- To attend events to meet & greet clients, manage client relationships, and support the operations team execute the event
- Gather post-event feedback from clients and share with operations team to inform continual improvement
**Required Experience**
- Event planning experience required
- Commute to Weybridge, office based role with expectations of travel
- Excellent written & verbal communication skills
- Ability to present to a variety of audiences and network successfully
- Ability to build relationships and nurture over time.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
**Salary**: From £32,000.00 per year
