The Residence Life Team provides a pastoral support service for students new to the University using the Residence Life model of community activities and individual support. Our aim is to promote a positive student experience and a sense of belonging through the provision of welfare support, social events, educational activities, community building and awareness campaigns.

We are looking for a Residence Life Coordinator to join the team on a permanent, part time basis to support the successful delivery of the Res Life Programme through the organisation social events, peer to peer advice sessions, community building activities and awareness campaigns both on campus and online.

The successful post holder will have a hands on flexible approach to work, strong communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with others. You will be committed and able to get involved with student social activities, dedicated to building a sense of community among students and proactive in maximising Res Life’s engagement with new students.

The successful post holder will be understanding of the varied and diverse issues that pertain to students and have the ability to respond to trends in student welfare issues, interests and methods of communication. You will be able to understand, uphold and promote hall regulations and the University’s policy and procedures.

Employment basis for this role is on a part time contract, starting as soon as possible. There is the possibility of position becoming full time but this cannot be guaranteed.

Hours of work will be: Monday to Thursday: 16.00 - 20.00, & Friday: 17.00 - 20.00
