**WHAT TO EXPECT**

The JLR Academy is a new centralised function to establish the expertise required for the design and delivery of all learning solutions which support our employees.

You will ensure that Jaguar Land Rover’s Learning Academy establishes and maintains a World Class approach to people capability development. This capability is key to us creating and sustaining profitable growth and differentiating our leading brand and range of products.

This role is responsible for the content ownership and structural design of Jaguar Land Rover Apprenticeship programmes to fulfil national requirements and evolving business competency needs. This role will evaluate new requests for the development of apprenticeship pathways based on business value and availability of relevant apprenticeship standards. It will also design the optimal off the job programme elements to deliver a high quality learner experience which enables apprentices to develop competency for their target end role. This will be achieved through considering the appropriate mix of delivery methods, academic / vocational learning and delivery capabilities of external learning providers and End Point Assessment Organisations to achieve the required outcomes of the apprenticeship.

This role will be responsible for the project management from concept to launch of a new or revised apprenticeship or technical learning solutions, working with relevant internal and external stakeholders including the apprenticeship delivery team and relevant Academy Squads. The role will also support the development of new or revised apprenticeship standards and end point assessment plans working with other external employers, stakeholders and the Institute for Apprenticeships and Technical Education (IFATE)

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

- Own the design and development of new or revised apprenticeship or technical learning programmes at all levels
- Gather intelligence on JLR strategic workforce planning to understand priority areas from a skills perspective
- Evaluate requests for new programmes based on business value - taking into account factors including apprenticeship standard availability, learner volumes, levy contribution, cost to business per head, strategic skills requirements, scarcity and demand for skillset, benefits in comparison to non-apprenticeship solution such as short/bootcamp courses, availability of approved training providers and end point assessment organisations (JLR and Government Agency approved).
- Define learning outcomes / modules aligned to business need and in line with the requirements of the specific apprenticeship standard/technical learning programme. (eg level of academic award, any pre-defined permissible combinations of modules, curriculums to meet JLR specific requirements).

- A broad based engineering and/or manufacturing background
- Strong awareness of mandated requirements set by government, and quality assurance requirements (standards development process set by the IFATE and ESFA delivery/compliance requirements).
- A good understanding of academic and vocational qualifications, delivery and assessment approaches including End Point Assessments.
- Able to demonstrate clear decision making capability - taking responsibility for outcomes.
- Able to build project plans, define ownership and track task completion in order to support a robust launch, and quality experience for the learner.
