Cambridge, United Kingdom University of Cambridge Full time

Come and join us in a small but passionate team in the Office of the School of Technology where we work together to propose, consult and implement policies and procedures across our Departments and Institute.

Your role will be focused on education matters and PhD studentship funding within the School of Technology. It will involve working closely with the Deputy Head of School (education) and the School Administrator (education).

You will be responsible for managing the School's Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) industrial CASE awards for PhD studentships and coordinating the annual award of WD Armstrong Trust studentships. As the main School contact, you can expect to work unsupervised, liaising directly with EPSRC, academics and students about the two schemes.

Other aspects of the role include developing and implementing initiatives aimed as widening participation for postgraduate students, organising training events for EPSRC Centre of Doctoral Training students, running the administration of the School's Undergraduate Education Committee and managing the process for other sources of funding such as Apple and Google PhD Fellowships.

We seek a person with a Degree-level or equivalent qualification or relevant administrative experience, preferably in higher education. You will need excellent communication, organisation and numerical skills. We are particularly keen to recruit someone with online documentation and website content knowledge. Experience of managing grants, arranging events and/or training activities and administrative support for Committees would be highly advantageous.

The University is committed to developing its staff and there are lots of opportunities for a range of personal and professional development. The full range of benefits of working at the University can be found in the further particulars of the job.

The University has a responsibility to ensure that all employees are eligible to live and work in the UK.
