**Position Overview**:
We are seeking strong and motivated Support Workers/ Carers to join our team, providing exceptional support for a 16 years old boy with non-verbal autism, epilepsy and complex care needs, who due the level of support required, is home educated in a behavioural therapy programme.

This role offers an opportunity to work closely with a family and in a community environment, collaborating with a team of specialist support workers, overseen by an ABA consultant.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Provide personalised care and support tailored to the individual's needs, under his Education, Health and Care plan.
- Implement educational and behavioural strategies.
- Support health and care needs, including administering medication and monitoring health conditions.
- Assist in daily personal care needs, personal hygiene and comfort.
- Provide physical support and encourage physical activities.
- Collaborate with the team to plan stimulating activities in home as well in the community.
- Maintain accurate communication and reports to the team.

**Qualifications**:
Prior experience is not absolutely essential, as training will be provided. However, strong interest in special needs, autism and health is fundamental.

Higher education in a health related field is preferred.

**Key requirements**:

- You need to be strong, fun and reliable.
- Empathetic, patient, and adaptable with excellent communication skills.
- Keen interest in health-related fields, such as nursing or psychology.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- Ability to handle emergencies and take initiative.
- Flexible availability, including waking nights, some weekends and bank holidays.
- Commitment to a minimum of 12 months of employment.

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate and patient demeanor
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Basic knowledge of first aid and CPR is a plus
- Must pass a background check
