Robertson Bell are pleased to be working with this small but mighty not for profit organisation whilst they recruit to this Head of Finance and Resources. Reporting straight into the CEO, you will manage a small team of three and carry out a role that willfocus mostly on finance with some other areas including HR, IT, legal and Governance. Duties for this role will include:

- Work closely with the CEO to set the financial strategy, ensuring alignment to the organisations mission.
- Act as a key member of the Senior Leadership Team, attending regular board meetings and presenting at these.
- Submit annual and monthly returns and deal with all tax and VAT queries.
- Measure the treasury function and develop the long-term cash flow.

- Lead on budgeting and forecasting for the charity.
- Oversee all regulatory compliance, data protection, office management and IT infrastructure liaising with the outsourced provider.
- Liaise with overseas staff in the country offices offering advise and upskilling when needed.
- Maintain tight financial controls and improve systems and processes.
- Review legal contracts including tenancy agreements and liaise with relevant third parties.
- Manage a team of three, two staff in finance and one in HR providing day to day oversight of daily workload, quality of reporting and ensuring necessary support and training is provided.
- A qualified Accountant (ACA, CIMA, CIPFA or ACCA).
- Experienced leading on the month-end and year end process.
- Experienced leading on the budgeting and forecasting process.
- Confident suggesting process improvements.
- An experienced people manager.
- An excellent communicator.

Please note previous public sector or charity sector experience is not necessary in order to be considered.
