**Job info. **To provide wraparound support to young people struggling to manage and maintain tenancies and promoting taking positive steps to prevent homelessness. This is will include managing a case load with complex and differing support needs, and will often require 1-2-1 engagement while working in partnership with associated organisations

**Charity Context.** YES is a youth charity offering support and advice on a range of issues from counselling, housing &homelessness and teenage pregnancy support_. _ YES supports all young people between the ages of 11 -25 across North East Essex.

**Main responsibilities**

To provided tenancy sustainment through a holistic approach.

Advice on housing and legislation

To support clients to understand the benefit system and what if anything they are entitled to

Be active in maintaining and promoting partnership working.

To implement and maintain boundaries and manage expectations for young people

To encourage young people to take positive steps in looking after their mental health.

To signpost to our inhouse counselling service where appropriate

**Skills**

The ability to manage a large and active case load

To have a knowledge of housing law for young people.

To have a knowledge of the Children’s Act post 16 years old

The ability to build and maintain partnership working.

To have an understanding of mental health

**Job Types**: Part-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 24 months
Part-time hours: 18 per week

**Salary**: £12,480.00 per year
