Procurement Coordinator

**Procurement Coordinator -** Salary £30k to £40k. 25+8 days holidays, Life assurance x3, 37 hours per week, early finish on a Friday.
We are recruiting a Procurement Coordinator for an established engineering company and a leading expert in technology, designing and manufacturing products for the rail and industrial sectors for over sixty years.
This role will see you efficiently analyse spend data, translating this into information to make informed decisions on suppliers by benchmarking and negotiating contracts. Presenting this information to senior management
This role is also responsible for developing and maintaining current approved vendors aligning capability to group requirements to meet its growth requirements.
Indirect suppliers will also fall under the remit of this role
**PROCUREMENT KEY RESPONSIBILITIES + DUTIES**
- Place orders for materials / services in line with company's requirements and processes for both Requisitions and orders.
- Find potential suppliers, negotiate prices and terms, and make agreements or contracts for purchases.
- Conduct supplier business reviews.
- Maintain and update item price files by category, to ensure data accuracy of price breaks, lead-times, MOQ's/ lot sizes
- Monitor and report on PPV (Purchasing Price Variance) on a monthly basis
- Provide procurement support for UK's New Product Development/ Introduction plans
**EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS FOR THE PROCUREMENT ROLE**
- Office experience within the manufacturing or Engineering environment
- Degree in a purchasing, supply chain or business relateddegree. (desirable)
- CIPS qualified or working towards (desirable)
- Experience in Procurement in an engineering environment. (desirable)
- MRP experience(desirable)
- Excellent communication skills and experience working in cross functional teams
- MS Office proficient (Especially Excel, Word and powerpoint)
- Working knowledge of PDM and workflow management
