**Job summary**:
This is an exciting post that has become available within the Community Support Hub working alongside the Community Support Team.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, gregarious and team playing person who is customer-focussed and always 'happy to help'.

This position is advertised at 37 hours per week.

**Job description**:
As the holder of the position of RAF HIVE Information Officer (HIO) you are responsible for;
a. Under the umbrella of HIVE, acting as the station’s focal point to provide the whole Service community, including RAF reserves, with current and relevant information on behalf of the Chain of Command, Command Staff, RAF HIVE Management Team, MoD and external agencies.

b. Be the focal point for local information support to the whole Service community and provide feedback on issues of interest to the station and RAF HIVE Management Team (HMT).

c. Assist in the provision of operational deployment support, by providing RAF HIVE Deployment Support Packs (DSPs) to deployed personnel and their families and presenting at Deployment Support briefings.

d. Offering a confidential signposting service to welfare and other professional support agencies.

e. Host and comply with HMT Assurance visits and requests associated with those visits.

**Person specification**:
Your core duties/tasks/responsibilities specifically include:
a. Assessing and responding to the specific information needs of the whole Service community in conjunction with the unit/station and HMT through diligent research in the form of RAF HIVE Information sheets, RAF HIVE Newsletters and RAF HIVE social media.
b. Responding to all enquiries from the Service community in a professional and timely manner.
c. Managing the administration, professional and corporate identity of the HIVE Information Office, yourself and any other information points within the area of responsibility (AOR).
d. In consultation with Station Community Support (Com Spt) Team, liaise and network with key Service and local civilian agencies to source and deliver information relevant to the local community.
e. Responsibility for providing arrival and relocation material to the Service community in the form of Arrival packs and relocation information (bespoke to families and single/unaccompanied personnel).
f. Working with the local unit/station and the HMT to deliver the RAF HIVE Operational Deployment Package.
g. Ensuring that RAF HIVE content on Unit/Station (Intranet/Internet) and RAF Community websites is up to date and correct.
h. Acting as a point of referral for confidential customer enquiries to the appropriate agencies working within the RAF HIVE Code of Confidentiality.
i. Ensuring that all RAF HIVE business is compliant with the provisions of the Data Protection Act.
j. Providing monthly statistics/concerns and feedback to the HMT about Service community issues based on customer enquiries.
k. Completing monthly narrative reports by 5th day of following month to the LM and SDM. (HIOs in initial six months will need to submit a monthly narrative report).
l. Engaging and utilising HIVE Team site on a daily basic including uploading any OOO days to the calendar.
m. Ensuring a high standard presentation for information displayed and communicated to the Service community with RAF HIVE branding.
n. Attending any mandatory and personal development training deemed appropriate by the local unit and the HMT.
o. Responding to any new information support needs of the local Service community as directed by the local chain of command and the HMT.
p. Perform any other duties, within the context of RAF Com Spt, as agreed by line management and the HMT, or as directed by higher authority.
q. Ensuring all administrative tasks set out in the HIO Assurance check list are completed prior to an assurance visit; following the assurance report being issued aim to work towards addressing any Yellow/Amber or Red serials with the aim of achieving all Green serials.
