Multi Trades Recruitment are seeking a Working Supervisor for our Technical Services team, based at Woodlands View Hospital. As a Working Supervisor, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and continuous operation of electrical supplies, building systems, plant, equipment, fabric, and grounds within the hospital. Reporting to the Technical Services Manager, you will play a key role in planned maintenance, reactive repairs, minor project works, and procurement of materials and contracted services.

Your role will involve working in sophisticated locations that serve critical hospital disciplines, including Medical Gas, Critical Ventilation, Water Hygiene, and more. You will be required to use a range of tools, including specialist equipment, and precision calibration and test tools.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**As a Working Supervisor, your responsibilities include**:

- Working in compliance with safety rules and regulations, Scottish Health Technical Memoranda (SHTM's), and other statutory compliance requirements.
- Managing planned maintenance schemes and responding to unplanned events in a timely manner.
- Reviewing Method Statements, Risk Assessments, and issuing Permits-to-Work as necessary.
- Supervising and carrying out planned and reactive electrical/mechanical maintenance tasks, small work, and variation requests.
- Liaising with the Technical Services Manager regarding equipment failures and arranging necessary goods and services.
- Completing all work reports and test certificates as required.
- Undertaking training as needed for personal development and business needs.
- Maintaining a clean and tidy workspace and equipment areas.
- Controlling the shift rota and participating in the on-call Out-of-Hours (OOH) service as required.
- Maintaining professional communication with clients and conducting EQUANS business efficiently.
- Ordering materials and maintaining stock control of spares.
- Working closely with the Technical Services Manager to ensure the Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedule is regularly reviewed.

**Qualifications and Experience**:
**To be considered for this role, you should have**:

- Successfully completed a recognized Mechanical or Electrical apprenticeship.
- A minimum of 2 years of previous experience in a similar role, carrying out maintenance duties.
- Hospital maintenance experience is desirable but not essential.
- Competence to supervise and undertake work on building service systems and equipment.
- Familiarity with the type of systems and equipment that will be worked on.
- Sufficient technical knowledge and experience to ensure safety during maintenance tasks.
- Knowledge of and training in first aid (including CPR Training) within the preceding three years, or a willingness to undergo training.
- Desirable but not essential: knowledge of relevant Scottish Health Technical Memoranda (SHTM) and experience working within Permit-to-Work procedures (SHTM 01 - 08, BSRIA, L8, pressure systems Regulations 2000, etc).

**Working Hours**:

- Day shift, Monday to Friday
- 8.00 am - 17.00 pm

**Terms and Conditions**:

- 24 days of annual leave plus 8 days of public holidays
- On-call duty, 1 in 5 weeks, with a standby payment of £154 per week and a minimum of 2 hours call-out rate. Call-out rates vary based on time and day of the call-out.
