Elevation Recruitment Group, Business Support Division are working with a leading manufacturing company based in Cleckheaton, West Yorkshire. As part of ongoing growth, we are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Purchasing Administrator to join their procurement team.

As a Purchasing Administrator, you will play a critical role in supporting our procurement activities. You will be responsible for the following;
- Process purchase orders accurately and efficiently using our procurement system.
- Liaise with suppliers to obtain quotes, negotiate pricing, and ensure timely delivery of goods.
- Maintain accurate records of purchase transactions, including pricing, delivery dates, and vendor information.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with production teams to ensure adequate stock levels.
- Assist in the evaluation and selection of suppliers based on quality, cost, and delivery performance.
- Resolve any discrepancies or issues with orders, invoices, or deliveries in a timely manner.
- Support the procurement team in identifying cost-saving opportunities and process improvements.
- Generate reports and analyse data to track purchasing trends and performance metrics.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as finance and production, to ensure alignment of procurement activities with organisational goals.

Requirements for the role:

- Previous experience in a purchasing or procurement role, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
- Knowledge of procurement processes and principles.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- A proactive and problem-solving mindset, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and requirements.
