**Job description**:
We are looking for a passionate and perceptive leader to join the Output Services Group (OSG) Senior Operational leadership team and take up the challenge of a strong customer service ethos to lead the print, mail and engraving business. As DVLA progresses through its transformation journey and its internal services reduce, the service it provides to the wider public sector is growing. Therefore the post holder will need a continuous improvement focus to ensure continued delivery of a cost effective service.
- As the role holder you will be responsible for leading around 110 staff. You will work with, drive and lead your team to achieve customer service targets, performance and quality standards - exceeding customer expectations through driving quality in operational delivery, improving efficiencies in the workplace and engagement levels within the workforce across two of our sites, Morriston and Ty-Felin.
- You will need to relish the responsibility of this role and have the drive and the determination to be a powerful agent of change. However, you will also recognise that change happens by engaging people at each stage of the process. You will be a strong leader, capable of realising the full potential of your team.
- You will fully support and drive our Business Plan and Strategic agenda, advocating/facilitating change, digitisation and modernisation. You will be comfortable working in an industrial environment, a key element of this role is stakeholder engagement with third party suppliers.

The role can result on occasion the requirement to attend one of the two output facilities during unsociable hours to support or meet with team members working shifts.

**Responsibilities**

Key accountabilities of the role include:
1. Lead the Unit to:

- Achieve key performance targets, performance and quality standards.
- Achieve internal targets and standards.
- Continuously improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Effectively manage risks.

2. Advance and support the Agency’s strategic, organisational and cultural change programmes by, for example:

- Promoting changes and leading teams through the change process.
- Delivering and monitoring the benefits brought by change.
- Building team and management capability to be fit for the future.

**Additional information**

You will be required to work across both Morriston and Ty Felin OSG sites.

OSG provides an operational services 24hrs 5 days per week (Sunday night 10pm to Friday night 10pm). You will need to be adaptable as you may be required to attend the office in this leadership role during any time period that the service is provided.
