**The Role**

The purpose of the role is all aspects of stator coil manufacture for motors and generators.

**Main duties and responsibilities**:

- Operating the loop, stack press and pull-out machine (diamond coil spreading)
- Setting and operating robot tapping machine
- Machine taping of stator coils
- Hand taping of stator coils
- Reading of engineering drawings
- Use of micrometers/verniers
- Use of setting gauges
- Set up of all machinery as listed above
- Comply with general work rules - responsible for quality of own work, housekeeping of own work area, and to work safely.

**Qualifications/requirements**:

- Commitment to working to high quality procedures and standards
- Ability to work effectively within a team
- Strong analytical skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to follow instructions accurately
- Applicants must be flexible to work other shifts as required
- Experience of rotating machines is an advantage but not essential.
- Knowledge of 5S and lean techniques is an advantage along with experience of working with measuring equipment and MICs.
