**Job Introduction**:
Here at Colas, we are looking for a Bid Writer to join the team based at our head office in Solihull. Reporting to the Senior Bid Writer, you will be responsible for producing high quality and professionally written content for prequalification and tender submissions. Taking part in the preparation and researching of submissions as directed. This role requires close working with the regional team, operational personnel and Support Service teams to obtain information for bid inputs and major projects.

**Main Responsibility**:
As a Bid Writer you will support the Senior Bid Writers and Bid Managers in improving bid management processes and challenging existing practices. You will demonstrate appropriate experience, training and qualifications for the post and to maintain an up to date awareness of activities and standards within Colas’ business sectors. You will support the Bid Managers as directed and produce well-structured written responses in accordance to Clients’ requirements and agreed company solutions. You will be responsible for delivering written responses for prequalification and tender submissions against agreed deadlines, in accordance with deliverables, escalating issues as required. You will be Under the direction of the Senior Bid Writer and Bid Manager produce written responses that are completed to a high standard and are compliant, clear and customer focussed. You will support and deliver answer plan workshops to identify win themes and bidding strategies through client research, document reviews, and liaison with regional teams. You will carry out relevant research and liaise with appropriate departments and specialists to obtain relevant information/details to allow written solutions to be developed and considered. You will re-work existing, pre-written content, where required. You will be required to attend bid solutions meetings and reviews, contributing to story board workshops. You will consider all issues and relevant information that is communicated when developing and completing written solutions. To carry out all duties and responsibilities in a manner that supports the Company Vision Mission and Values.
