Senior Bid Writer

Seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Bid Writer to join a leading engineering and environmental consulting firm. The Senior Bid Writer must have experience of working with SMEs and clients to create a solution and have strong bid writing skills to develop winning proposals.
SENIOR BID WRITER RESPONSIBILITIES:nWork closely and flexibly with the bid manager, authors, operational and business development staff to develop and/or advise on the production of tailored solutions in response to tender invitations.nWork independently (and with bid managers, authors) to convert knowledge from operational and business development staff into winning solutions and proposals.nIdentify and re-work existing pre-written content and boilerplate in line with specific questions, tailoring to individual client requirements.nReview, re-write or edit written responses from others including, but not limited to, sales, operational, commercial, legal, HR and finance staff.nBuild relationships quickly to deliver efficient and effective working within newly created bid teams.nConvert knowledge from operational and business development staff into winning solutions and proposals.nAnalyse each bid to identify and share good practice with operational, bid and business development staff across the business, providing support to cross cutting initiatives and bids to support WSP to achieve its corporate objectives.nCollate market and competitor information that will be useful to WSP in future propositions and bids.
SENIOR BID WRITER ROLE REQUIREMENTS:nKnowledge and experience of the development of solutions and their translation through excellent written English into winning proposals.nThe ability to choose the right approach to developing the quality proposal to meet client requirements and business capabilities.nBe able to understand engineering principles and project delivery methodologies to translate client needs into feasible and cost-effective solutions.nProven experience in bid writing, with preference for candidates who have worked in engineering or environmental consulting or similar sectors.nExceptional writing skills with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts in a logical clear and concise manner.nStrong analytical and research capabilities, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.nLogical thinker with the ability to structure information logically and present arguments persuasively.nCurious mindset, continuously seeking opportunities to learn and expand knowledge in relevant subject areas.nHighly organised and methodical approach to work, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.nExcellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.nProficiency in Microsoft Office suite and experience with bid management software/tools is desirable.
