**About**:
Our Client is a dedicated nursing care facility committed to providing compassionate and person-centered care to the residents. We are currently seeking a caring and empathetic individual to join to them as a Care Assistant, contributing to the well-being and comfort of the residents.
**Position Overview**:
As a Care Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the residents with their daily activities and promoting their independence and dignity. Under the supervision of qualified healthcare professionals, you will provide compassionate care and companionship to them, fostering a warm and supportive environment.
**Responsibilities**:
- Assist residents with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting, respecting their privacy and dignity at all times.
- Support residents with mobility, transferring, and positioning, using appropriate techniques and equipment to ensure their safety and comfort.
- Provide assistance with meals and hydration, adhering to dietary requirements and preferences, and encouraging residents to maintain a healthy and balanced diet.
- Engage residents in meaningful activities and social interactions, promoting their emotional well-being and sense of belonging within the community.
- Assist in maintaining a clean and tidy environment, including residents' rooms, communal areas, and dining spaces, to uphold hygiene standards and ensure a comfortable living environment.
- Document care provided and report any changes in residents' condition or behavior to the supervising healthcare team, contributing to individualized care plans and ongoing assessment.
**Qualifications**:
- Previous experience in a similar care role, preferably in a residential care setting.
- NVQ/QCF Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care is desirable but not essential.
- Compassionate and empathetic approach to caring for others, with a genuine interest in improving the lives of residents.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with residents, families, and colleagues.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and follow instructions from senior staff members.
