**What you will do**

As a Process Specialist, you will work across multiple processes to ensure that changes to the service infrastructure including service assets and configuration items are recorded, evaluated, tested, implemented, documented and reviewed in a controlled manner and that all new services or major modifications to existing service have been transitioned in to service. You will ensure that standardised methods are used for managing all changes & releases within in all environments providing effective control and mitigation of risk to the availability, performance, security and compliance of the business services affected.

- Good understanding of statistical and analytical principles and processes
- Ability to develop good working relationships across the breadth of the IT function and effectively share knowledge between individuals and teams to contribute to overall effectiveness of IT function
- Flexible approach, with the ability to plan and co-ordinate information from various sources is important for this position
- Commercial acumen including an understanding of the overall picture of how the IT service costs and value add to the business
- Has the financial acumen to understand the management of a large budget and is able to operate all internal financial processes
- High level of personal credibility, impact and influence with proven ability to work effectively and persuasively at all levels of the business
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, both orally and written
- Ability to manage ambiguity and often conflicting priorities
- Ability to develop good working relationships across the breadth of the IT function and effectively share knowledge between individuals and teams to contribute to overall effectiveness of project and service Improvement work.

- Knowledge_
- Good understanding and working knowledge of the ITIL disciplines, particularly Change, Release & Transition Management
- Knowledge of development lifecycle for technologies used in Allen & Overy
- Has a broad knowledge and understanding of IT concepts and architectures, coupled practical knowledge of Change Management the principles and processes required for implementing and delivering such services
- Experience_
- Practical experience of IT Change/Release Management within a complex IT operations environment
- Experience of transitioning complex, critical services into live operation
- Strong experience of working within a managed service environment
- Strong experience of project management and project frameworks
- Proven experience of data analysis and good numeracy, analytical and reporting skills
- Comprehensive knowledge and experience of Change, Release and Service Management as defined in ITIL version 3
- Strong experience and ability to prioritise, execute tasks and make sound decisions in a busy pressured environment
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience as Process Specialist across any of the ITIL functions
- Qualifications_
- "Planning, Protection and Optimisation" & "Release Control and Validation"
- ITIL Service Capability qualification. Alternatively, the completion of the Service Lifecycle ITIL modules - Intermediate qualification
