Unicare Devon is seeking motivated, enthusiastic and reliable Community Care Assistants to join a vibrant and well respected Care Agency in Newton Abbot, with a great reputation for delivering quality care to our clients. **About the Role**:
As a Community Care Assistant, you'll play a vital role in supporting our clients to live comfortably and independently in their own homes. You'll provide person-centered care that respects their individual needs, choices, and dignity.
**Responsibilities**:
- **Provide compassionate care**: Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal care, medication management, meal preparation, and light housekeeping.
- **Promote independence**: Encourage clients to make their own decisions and maintain their independence as much as possible.
- **Observe and report**: Be attentive to clients' needs and well-being, reporting any concerns or changes to the office promptly.
- **Teamwork**: Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure clients receive coordinated care.
- **Maintain a safe environment**: Identify and report potential hazards within the client's home.
- **Adherence to standards**: Follow Unicare Devon's policies and procedures, ensuring the highest quality of care.
- **Professional development**: Attend training sessions and complete online courses to stay up-to-date on best practices.

**Skills and Experience Required**:
- Level 2 NVQ in Health and Social Care is preferred, not essential
- 2 Years experience is desired but not essential
