**Salary**: £80,000 + depending on skills and experience

This position will hold significant responsibility in shaping and leading the General Management organisation, showing thought leadership within the business, relating to IT enabled opportunities, as well as representing our best interests with the customer base and BAE Systems globally.

**What you’ll be doing**:

- You will be accountable to the Submarines CIO for the delivery of the Submarines business total Capital investment opportunities and risk prioritisation to promote board level decisions on investment
- Accountable for the timely and accurate control of Submarines IM&T Run and Maintain costs
- Responsible for the on-time IM&T IBP facilitation and basis of estimate to the CIO, HO IM&T and customer
- Establish the requirements and rationale for IM&T organisational structure changes in support of an effective operating model and facilitates the changes through securing the resources
- Accountable for the IM&T Business Resource Process, ensuring Submarines Programme demand is understood and supply solution is fit for purpose and realistic against our Programmes of work
- Accountable for the maintenance, development, and control of the IM&T learning & development strategy, long term skills strategy and career development pathways for the organisation
- Facilitate the development of the quality strategy and policies for approval and adoption by organisational management and secures commitment from executive leadership
- Accountable to the HO IM&T for the provision of accurate portfolio & programme reporting through the management & organisation of the Programme Management Office

**Your skills and experiences**:

- Relevant IT degree or business degree, experience in consultancy or people management position
- High level of commercial awareness and budget management capability
- Significant experience of working in an IT Function in a relevant field within a large organisation

Each branch of Shared Services (Investment & Programme Management Office, Run & Maintain Finance, Quality & Assurance and People & Capability) is led by a senior manager who report direct into this role. The current team size is 30 with a small number of recruitment underway.
