Tenant Liaison Officer

IMH Recruitment is currently working with Leeds council, we are currently looking for a Tenant Liaison Officer
Leeds Building Services is the council’s Internal Service Provider of construction and maintenance services. The service currently delivers responsive repairs, maintenance and planned works to 19,000 council houses in the East North East part of the city as well as to 2,100 other council assets across 800 sites including schools, the Civic Estate, offices, sports and leisure centres and children’s homes across the authority.
Accountabilities:
- Contribute to the effective delivery of business support functions across the whole of the service
- Provide a welcoming customer service function, and maintain a polite and professional manner at all times
- Provide a liaison service for the Planned Works Team
- Maintain effective relationships within Housing Leeds, other council directorates, external partners and agencies
- Ensure all activities are delivered in accordance with all legal and regulatory requirements and in line with the Council’s policies and procedures
- Take administrative responsibility for the Property Maintenance quality standards (ISO9000-2000, EMAS, RoSPA, IiP, Chartermark)
- Order and purchase materials from suppliers ensuring that all associated paperwork is accurately processed and correctly invoiced
Skills, knowledge & experience:
- Providing effective direction and coordination
Resolving potential conflict and to gain cooperation and trust from colleagues and service users
- Developing productive working relationships that encourage respect, trust and confidence
- Strong customer care focus and ability to communicate effectively with a wide variety of people face to face, over the phone and/or in writing
- Take ownership and manage competing priorities/tight deadlines
- Using initiative to develop solutions to ensure effective delivery of the service
- Experience of analysing and presenting information
- Experience of problem solving, individually and in a group setting
**Hours & Pay**:
- Monday to Friday, Hours to be confirmed between 8am to 5pm.
- £11.50
