Milton Keynes, United Kingdom Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust Full time

We are looking to recruit Full Time Support Workers to join our Crisis and Home Treatment Team

CNWL Milton Keynes are undergoing an innovative transformation of community mental health services which includes the development of a new Crisis Resolution and Home Treatment Team to provide 7 day/24 hour rapid response assessments and home treatment as an alternative to admission for people experiencing mental health crisis. The team works with adults from 18 years upwards with no upper age limit. Whilst we build the team to full staffing, we are currently operating 7 days a week from 09.00 - 22.00. The expectation will be to work towards a full 24/7 shift rotation.

Full time 37.5 hours per week

24/7 shift pattern including weekends and night duty (Currently staffing 09.00 - 22.00, 7 days per week)

You will work both alongside, but at times independently under the direction and supervision of qualified mental health professionals as part of a multi-disciplinary team with the opportunity of developing links with other professionals and teams in a wide variety of settings.

The post holder will be expected to work shifts covering 24hours 7 days a week including bank/public holidays.

Successful applicant will need to hold a full current UK driving licence and have access to a vehicle.

We are passionate about delivering first-class patient-centred, safe and effective care, whether it is in a hospital setting, in a community clinic or in the patients own home. Patients are at the heart of everything we do. Providing top quality care depends on our ability to employ the best people. Were always looking to recruit outstanding people who will go the extra mile to support our patients, colleagues, teams and the Trust. With every new employee were hoping to find our future leaders and well support our staff by providing opportunities to develop your career.

With a diverse culture and equally diverse range of opportunities across mental health, community services, addictions, eating disorders, learning disabilities and more whatever stage of your career you're at, there's always a place for you at CNWL.

As an NHS Trust we strongly encourage and support vaccination as this remains the best way to protect yourself, your family, your colleagues and of course patients and service users when working on our healthcare settings.

The post holder will contribute to the key functions of the clinical area by carrying out assigned tasks, involving direct and indirect care to patients, under mínimal supervision and as directed by the HTT shift co-ordinator and/or Team Manager. Following personal development planning and targeted training, the competent practitioner will be in a position to work more autonomously in supporting patients. As a result you will have developed a broad underpinning knowledge at intermediate level, and have the ability to evaluate information and communicate effectively with a range of professionals.
