Staple Hill & Mangotsfield Parish Council is a newly formed council with 13 Parish Councillors. We are looking for a Parish Clerk and Responsible Finance Officer who will be responsible for the administration of the Council and ensuring it meets its statutory obligations. The role is full time and flexible office/home working will be considered. You will be required to undertake some evening work to cover council meetings and occasional weekend work.

**What will you be doing?**
- You will be responsible for all aspects of council operations including the duties of a Responsible Finance Officer.
- You will be working with Councillors to set priorities for the council and drive these forwards.
- You will be responsible for excellent community engagement including the maintenance of the council website and social media.

**What we need from you**:

- In this role you will require excellent communication skills and experience of working in local government. You will be able to work as part of a team as well as leading on projects and contract work.
- Experience of financial management is required as you will be responsible for ensuring the councils finances are administered transparently and meet audit requirements.
- You will hold the Certificate in Local Council Administration or undertake to achieve this within 18 months of joining the Council.
