The company operates in the £5-£10m t/o region, and whilst small they are mighty in what they do.

As Finance Manager you will be responsible for managing the finances and accounting of their business whilst reporting to and working with a knowledgeable and experienced the Financial Director.

You will be part of a very small and productive team.

Your new role responsibilities as Finance Manager for this business, will include:

- Managing and maintain through purchase ledger, sales ledger and general ledger accounts
- Performing credit control duties
- VAT reconciliations
- Calculation and posting accruals and prepayments
- Reviewing data input information and ensuring updates have been made accurately to the system
- Providing cashflow forecasts and monthly financial reporting to directors
- Establishing accurate forecasts regarding expenses and revenues
- Completion of profit and loss and balance sheets reports
- Year End preparation for accountant and adjustments
- Supervision and leading 1 Accounts Assistant

About you:

- Ideally you will be qualified, or part qualified with ACCA, CIMA, ACA or similar
- Must have similar experience to bring to the table from an SME background
- Experience in the use of MS Office Suite and accounting software (sage and xero)
- A high level of Excel experience is expected
- Ability to work closely with a team in a matrix management organisation
- Have a customer service mindset and understand what good customer service feels and looks like.
- Be able to communicate effectively at all levels of internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to act appropriately as a supplier facing company representative
- Excellent organisational skills and proven ability to self-manage own workload and team deadlines is essential
