**Eastlight Community Homes** have an exciting opportunity for a **Senior Surveyor** to join their Assets Team on a **Permanent** basis
In this **hybrid** working role, you will maximise the integrity of Eastlight's asset data to ensure the efficient investment in our homes and broader assets, by completing **Housing Health and Safety Rating System (HHSRS) assessments** to identify any risks within our homes.
This is great opportunity for you **to lead a team of surveyors** and play a vital role in the stock condition process to ensure that Eastlight are making effective investment decisions and thereby contributing to the organisation’s asset management strategies.
**What will YOU be doing as a Senior Surveyor?**
- Carry out Stock condition surveys on all Eastlight's habitable and non-habitable assets including residential property, offices, commercial buildings in line with the Health and Safety regulations.
- Conduct Damp and Condensation surveys to properly identify causation and make recommendations for remediation.
- Carry out Energy Performance Certificates to check the energy efficiency of our properties.
- Work effectively with Third party engineers to identify disrepair and manage the delivery of remedial works where required.
- Conduct building surveys to Eastlight and protect our business against associated risk.
- Work collaboratively with the Surveying Manager on disrepair claims and the Assets legal process.
- Develop processes for the proactive identification of damp and condensation.
**What will YOU bring?**
- Proven surveying experience & technical knowledge in domestic property construction.
- Sound knowledge of the Housing Health and Safety Rating System (HHSRS).
- Experience of working in social housing at management level (desirable)
- Experience of defect identification, causation, and mitigation.
- HNC/HND in Building Surveying or Building Studies / Construction or equivalent qualification.
- Strong communications skills, stakeholder management and the ability to build professional relationships.
- A commitment to seek new ways of working to achieve continuous improvement.
