Key responsibilities of the Group Category Buyer will include:

- Supporting the Head of Purchasing and the Commercial team to deliver group strategies
- Negotiating and managing supplier agreements, securing the best products at the best prices
- Assisting in the ongoing management of a core range of products which will be stocked in all branches
- Maintaining group stocks in line with company policy
- Assisting Price Book in ensuring data is accurate on our computer system
- Assisting Purchase Ledger to resolve queries
- Excellent communication skills
- Well-developed people skills
- Strong commercial acumen
- A detailed approach to work
- Strong analytical skills
- Proficient in MS Office
