Research Coordinator

If so, we have an exciting opportunity which has arisen for a Research Coordinator to conduct some exploratory work on trauma-informed practice across two integrated care systems (Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire, & Berkshire West, & Frimley) as part of a two-year fixed term position.
We are seeking a highly motivated and energetic team member who has experience in undertaking healthcare services research and wants to develop their career. You will be a confident individual who is willing to conduct site visits across different healthcare settings to discuss their approaches to trauma-informed practice. These findings will inform the foundation of trauma-informed practice, particularly to help us understand what we do well and where it matters.

The post will be situated in the research team of Oxford Healthcare Improvement, a team established in Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust to fulfil the ambition of delivering outstanding care by outstanding people.
Supported by the Research Lead, the postholder will have opportunities to develop research skills and their research profile through the preparation of research publications and presenting at various conferences. There will also be an opportunity to gain an honorary position at the University of Oxford and contribute to the Improvement and Implementation Science Research Group.

With the support of the Research Lead, the postholder will carry out a number of key activities as part of the project. These will include:
- A scoping review to understand the research and grey literature relating to trauma-informed practice
- Engage with relevant services across the two ICSs and conduct a qualitative approach to understanding their use of trauma-informed approaches in practice. This may include site visits, exploring existing processes and data sources for the purposes of evaluation
- Undertake relevant analysis to appraise the findings and translate them into a common understanding and framework concerning trauma-informed practice
- Arrange and facilitate stakeholder events at strategic points in the project
- Support seeking further funding opportunities that are informed by the findings of the project
