Liverpool, United Kingdom The Whitechapel Centre Full time

The Whitechapel Centre’s mission is to prevent and resolve homelessness, social exclusion and housing poverty by providing practical, realistic, tailored support so that each person can find a route out of homelessness, maintain a home and achieve their individual potential.

We have been awarded funding which will enable us to develop our outreach services by providing additional support for people experiencing multiple disadvantage and social exclusion.

The job holder will provide targeted, intensive support to meet the needs of people rough sleeping who already have accommodation that is safe to return to, including repeat and entrenched individuals and those who have experienced a crisis which jeopardises accommodation breakdown. Taking a strength-based, person-centred approach, the post holder will work closely with our wider Outreach team to help break cycles of recurrent homeless; improve people’s health and well-being and achieve greater independence.

Hours will predominantly be worked Monday to Friday but with flexibility to undertake weekend or out of hours work by arrangement. Applicants will be expected to demonstrate a good working knowledge of local statutory systems, processes and support/treatment agencies and must have the confidence to use their own initiative to make effective and appropriate decisions.

Funding is to 31 October 2025 in the first instance.

The Whitechapel Centre offer a supportive working environment, a good pension scheme and staff benefits.
