Senior Legal Counsel

The business are a global Security & Defence contractor who operate across a variety of sectors such as Defence, Aviation, Aerospace & Energy to name a few. Their capabilities include Robotics, Advanced materials & manufacturing, AI & Cyber. They are a centreof excellence in research & development and use some of the worlds most cutting edge technology to offer experimental facilities, engineering & technical expertise.
The role is responsible for providing legal advice & services to the Groups UK-based sectors, supporting the Group Head of Legal Services & Head of Intelligence & Defence to support the achievement of strategic objectives for the UK based sector & where required,internationally.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

- Delivering comprehensive & high quality legal services across the business to support the effective delivery of the business strategy
- Drafting, reviewing & negotiating commercial & corporate legal agreements
- Providing support & advice on disputes & litigation
- Advising on new legislation & regulations relevant to business sectors & identifying legal training needs for the business
- Managing effective relationships across complex internal & external stakeholders across the corporate group & its supporting functions
- Supporting senior leadership with implementation of relevant corporate governance policies & processes and delivering training and awareness.
