The LAC CAMHS team for Luton, Bedford and Central Bedfordshire is a well-established, supportive, and passionate multi-disciplinary team. We are committed to providing the very best therapeutic support and intervention to Children in Care, their carers, and colleagues from Social Care throughout Luton, Bedford and Central Bedfordshire. We have close links with colleagues in the wider CAMHS, in Education and other agencies.

Do you want to join the team as a Band 7 Systemic Psychotherapist to cover a maternity leave for one year?

You will provide assessments and systemic interventions for children and young people with complex difficulties and their carers. You will also provide support to carers, and consultations to social workers and other professionals. There will be opportunities to join colleagues running various groups for children, young people or carers, and different trainings for carers and professionals.

You will require a high degree of professional autonomy and self-management, and the ability to work well in a team.

You will be supported by regular, separate clinical and management supervision sessions, access to a variety of continuing professional development sessions, and regular team meetings which involve clinical discussions. There are a number of other Systemic Psychotherapists in the wider CAMHS which you will be supported to connect with.

The main base would be at the CAMHS office, Rush Court, Bedford, MK40 3JT. But it will be necessary to travel around Bedfordshire and Luton in order to provide the service where best suits the children and young people.
