NHV are currently looking for a joint role HSE/Facilities Co-ordinator to join our Aberdeen Base.
- Respons. & areas

FACILITIES RESPONSIBILITIES & MAIN RESULT AREAS
- Ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with the Company Policies and Procedures with special focus on Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental issues.
- Development, implementation and maintenance of all facilities management services, ensuring compliance with UK and EU legislation making recommendations to management of any changes required.
- Periodically review procedures and related documentation to ensure their effectiveness and when enquired, propose amendments and ensure their implementation.
- Management of services/contracts, including but not limited to: Cleaning and hygiene, catering, office equipment, security, building maintenance, waste management, energy management.
- Liaise with the other departments to ensure office space/working environment requirements are continually met.
- Liaise with the Base Manager to ensure the effective planning and execution of base activities.
- Supervise and ensure base requisition procedures for new/replacement materials and equipment are processed in a prompt and efficient manner in order to allow continuality of requirements.
- Raise purchase orders for materials/services within the limits of delegated financial authority.
- Plan, develop and prioritise minor/major projects and weekly work plans, continuous evaluation and monitoring with regards to progress and costs.
- Ensure all invoices are handled and related queries solved in a timely manner
- Perform basic maintenance activities.

HSE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Advises the UK OD on general and local HSE matters and assists with the implementation
- Assists on the implementation of group policies and monitors adherence
- Assists the Group QHSE Manager in developing group HSE policies and make suggestions for improvement
- Monitoring compliance of HSE legislation and company procedures throughout all UK sites via regular inspections and, ensuring that all non-conformances and observations are actioned and closed out within the allocated timeframe, by liaising with respective UK Base Managers
- Assisting with safety campaigns and initiatives
- Assisting in the development of site specific risk assessments and ensuring that these are communicated to the workforce
- Leading and participating in HSE accident, incident and near miss investigations
- Providing HSE support and advice where required across the business functions and locations
- Generating safety information notices, bulletins and newsletters, and communicating them across all areas of the business.
- Document control - Reviewing and maintaining the companies HSE related documentation.
- HSE Data analysis and trend identification
- Assisting in the development of the safety culture in line with the company’s policies, values and missions
- Contractor HSE control including permit to work, RAM’s and competency assurance management
- Experience
- Previous FM experience
- Ability to follow company procedures and processes (operational, quality, safety)
- Formal safety training and qualifications (NEBOSH or equivalent )
- Proven safety experience
- Environmental experience desirable
- Skills
- Excellent communication and organization skills
- Languages: English (professional level)
- ICT literate (specific aviation software & MS Office)

**Must be able to obtain a basic Disclosure Scotland Certificate.**
