**Reporting to: Head of Legal**

Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI) is one of the world’s leading industrial groups, providing a broad range of products and services across energy including its prominent technologies and remarkable footprints in Carbon Capture, Utilization and Storage (MHI CCUS) business, logistics & infrastructure, industrial machinery, aerospace and defence sectors. MHI are a major global brand with operations across the UK and EMEA regions.

**Purpose of the job**:
To oversee and support MHI CCUS business from legal/contractual perspective on a regional level in EMEA.

**Required Skills and Experience**
- UK Solicitor (or equivalent lawyer in US/Australia)
- Minimum 4 years or more relevant work experience in a law firm or private companies (in-house legal) as a qualified lawyer.
- Commercial transaction (rather than Cooperate (M&A)), especially for engineering and construction or manufacturing transaction (rather than financial transactions)
- Draft, review, negotiate NDA, Feasibility Study Agreement, Engineering Service Agreement, Joint-study/Joint-development agreement, Tech license agreement by his/her own ( under supervision of manager and with co-working with business colleagues as necessary).
- Strong communication skills and ability to liaise with all levels of Management
- Ability to manage priorities and quickly adapt to new situations
- Initiative and problem-solving attitude
- Ability to perform a variety of complex tasks

**Desirable but not essential Skills/Experience**
- Experience of working with EPC Agreements
- Fit for co-working as a member of team
- Having both legal mind and business mind for pursing the best interest of the MHI CCUS business.
- Being curious of business model and technologies of MHI CCUS business.

**Working Hours**:

- 7 hours per day
- 35 hours per week
