International SOS’s global centre of excellence for offshore and occupational health is headquartered in Aberdeen. Led by a team of industry-experienced clinicians, we have substantial expertise in mitigating offshore and occupational health risks as well leading on the health component of any offshore health event or emergency. Today we support over 140 offshore sites in UKCS, 60 of which are O&G producing assets.

**Job Overview**:
To maintain a state of medical emergency preparedness and provide routine health care to all personnel onboard assigned installation in accordance with International SOS Medic Standing Orders (MSO), Operations Manual and at all times abiding by a code of conduct and principles of medical confidentiality as per legislative requirements.

**Key responsibilities**:
Provide onsite emergency, routine health care and advice to offshore personnel in line with International SOS MSOs and Operation Procedures.
Seek appropriate and timely consultation/advice from Topside service and the Medical Advisor
Arrange any required Medevac cases in accordance with International SOS and Client site protocols
Maintain patient confidentiality at all times, supported with clear and concise medical records in line with International SOS Records and Record Keeping Policy.
Complete consultations, as per OH Hub/Meddbase Database, maintain medical confidentiality and data privacy as required by regulatory
Ensure all medical equipment and gases are functional, regularly inspected and maintained, including calibration of required items in accordance with manufacturer’s guidelines
Ensure clinical Occupational health practices undertaken are in accordance with the policies of International SOS and Client.
Maintain professional standards in accordance with current legislation and practice professional registration and continuing professional development and client’s standards
Ensure emergency medical stations are fully stocked and in full working order
Participate in emergency response exercises, table tops and drills, and provide review and assurance
Maintain an effective medical emergency response plan (MERP) for the platform
Declaration of medication to be monitored and complied by Medic
Maintain a Controlled Drugs Register and Drugs with potential for misuse as per the International SOS Operations Procedure. All Controlled Drugs are to conform with UK legislation
Lead and train emergency teams and first aiders to ensure an efficient emergency medical response
Conduct the Emergency Response Team Members fitness testing with client employees only.
Support pandemic response and other disease outbreaks
Develop and maintain stock levels of over the counter medications, prescription medication and maintain clinical waste is safely stored in sickbay and when required delivered to Materials Controller for specialist disposal.
Plan and complete planned maintenance routines with in SAP system. Resus Trolley, Triage equipment, Defibrillators, Medical Oxygen Cylinders, Grab bags, Stretchers etc.

Health Planning

Implement and promote Client Occupational Health Topics.
Maintain all competencies as are required in order to enable the implementation of the Health Surveillance Programme.
Facilitate health promotion training, information, dissemination and provision of advice to offshore workforce as directed by the Client
Provide effective listening, communication and support to all employees and contractors on the offshore facility
Promote Employee Assistance and Welfare programs.

Occupational Health & Industrial Hygiene Duties

Fulfil all scheduled Health and Hygiene activities and record all required data for review by Occupational Health
Noise assessment, dosimetry awareness,
RPE management & training including face fit testing records
HAVS compliance
COSHH
Maintain the potable water testing, Sampling and monitoring
Carry out health surveillance program as per Client requirements, ensuring accurate records of exposures are being recorded and any concerns raised with Medical Advisor
Conduct catering and accommodation hygiene inspections every two weeks
Participate in any relevant planning process for the purpose of Occupational Health offshore.
Where Occupational Health gives cause for concern raise with the relevant disciplines as appropriate with Offshore Safety Advisor, OIM, Medical Advisor and Industrial Hygienist

**Skills, Experience & Qualifications**:
Eligible to work, or resident, in the UK
Registered Nurse (Adult), with at least 3 years’ post-graduation experience within one or more of: A&E, ICU, HDU, OOH’s Service, ANP, Medical or Surgical Assessment Unit, OR;
Royal Navy Medical Assistant (at Leading Hand or above), OR;
Royal Marines Medical Assistance (at Corporal or above), OR;
British Army Combat Medical Technician Class 1 (at Corporal or above), OR;
Royal Air Force Medical Assistant (at Corporal or above), OR;
Royal Fleet Auxiliary Service Medical Technician, OR;
HCPC Registered Paramedic with
