**The Role & Responsibilities**
- Responsible for providing oversight and assurance of the banks’ Financial Crime processes and controls. The FC Quality Assurance team will operate a program of regular sample checks and thematic reviews to test compliance with the Financial Crime CustomerDue
- Diligence Standards, Transaction Monitoring Standards, and relevant FC policies within the Financial Crime Framework
- Reporting to the Financial Crime QA Manager, principal interfaces will be with the 1st Line Financial Crime and Risk teams and Front-Line business teams.
- 1st Line Financial Crime Risk Teams
- Underwriting teams
- Relationship teams
- 2nd Line Financial Crime Compliance Teams
- In line with the bank’s agreed QA activities, assess the performance and adherence against the banks Standards & policy requirements within agreed SLA’s. This will include regular sample check reviews and controls testing, 'deep dives’ as well as more broadly-basedthematic reviews, to test consistency and compliance with the FC policies and standards
- Conduct assurance reviews on the banks’ Outsource Service Providers
- Liaising with first line financial crime and front-line teams to communicate QA actions and remedial actions required
- Ensure financial crime and front-line teams’ complete remedial actions in a timely fashion to remediate cases
- Assist in the preparation of written reports on reviews undertaken and report findings and recommendations to the Franchise Risk Committees
- Provide advice and guidance on activities and controls requiring improvement as well as assisting with training as required
- Assist in the production of Weekly/Monthly QA MI
- Knowledge and understanding of JMLSG, Financial Crime FCA Handbook and key legislation such as Money Laundering Regulations, POCA and Bribery Act

**The Person**
- Minimum 3-5 years Financial Crime experience with minimum 1-year Financial Crime QA Experience
- Desirable to hold an appropriate professional qualification (ideally an ICA Advanced Certificate or Diploma in Financial Crime Prevention and/or Anti Money Laundering)
- Excellent attention to detail is key to the role
- Excellent written and verbal language skills with the ability to communicate QA findings clearly and succinctly including report writing
