**Summary**

In the absence of the Senior Supervisor, the Duty Supervisor (DS) will lead and supervise the cleaning team, ensuring a 5-star standard of cleanliness & customer services is carried out and maintained at all times. This includes the cleaning of the galleries, café, corporate areas and back of house areas. The position mainly requires you to work in the evening but scheduled Supervisor shifts could be during the day and/or at night, depending on business requirements.

**Responsibilities**
- Assist the Senior Supervisor to coach, develop and lead the cleaning team to ensure that they are working efficiently and to a 5-star standard.
- Ensure uniform standards are upheld by all members of the cleaning team when on shift.
- Ensure proactive & excellent customer service is delivered at all times whilst on shift.
- Create and deliver briefings to the cleaning team.
- Be hands on & carry out general cleaning duties and ensure all cleaning requirements are met to comply with the 5-star standard.
- Supervise cleaning staff; including staff training & performance management.
- Assist in the management & ordering the stock holding of all cleaning materials and consumables to ensure that we have a ready supply of materials at all times and that budgets are controlled.
- Organise sufficient cleaning staff rotas for business requirements, such as evening events and day business.
- Ensure all cleaning equipment is in good working condition and that items are maintained, cleaned and stored correctly.
- Report all machine, equipment and building faults to line manager.
- Ensure departmental and agency time sheets are completed correctly authorised and submitted to payroll at the appropriate time every week.
- Take ownership of Health and Safety for yourself and others at work and complete all work in accordance with current legal Health and Safety requirements, including COSHH.
- Complete Self-Investigation of fire alarm, if required.
- In addition to the duties and responsibilities listed, the job holder is required to perform other duties assigned by their Supervisor/Manager. which may be necessary from time to time to ensure the smooth running of the department.

**Additional Information**
- 1 years' minimum Supervisor experience
- Trained in Emergency First Aid at work would be advantageous.
- 3pm start will be required when scheduled as the DS
- Enhanced rate of pay in absence of Senior Supervisor
