Branded Medical Buyer

- What you will be doing
- This role is a key position within the Branded Medical team responsible for the buying of Branded Medical and Surgical products for the Alliance Healthcare. In this role you will be able to build strong relationships both internally and with external Branded Medical suppliers to maximise partnership opportunities and commercial profitability for the Branded Medical category.
Responsibilities will include:
- Developing and maintaining key relationships with select supplier clients and identify opportunities to drive incremental increases in revenue, margin and market share, including providing support to the client services team for any managed distribution agreements.
- Ensuring the optimum stocked range within the branded medical and surgical category. Responsible for negotiating all commercial aspects of bringing products to market.
- Manage short term spot/investment buys and trade product to maximise profitability
- Analysing, investigating and reporting on market trends and performance to assist with budgeting, forecasting and supporting the Head of Commercial with development of category strategy
- Assisting the Commercial Buying Manager in managing the recall process for the business and ensuring compliance to regulatory requirements
- Working closely with other internal buying teams to negotiate best deal for group profitability.
- Supporting the commercial development of the downstream customer offer to ensure best in market branded medical offering
Ad hoc problem solving and projects within the category and wider company.

- PC Skills - Good knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint essential
- Proven buying experience in a pharmaceutical environment desirable
