Collections Support Officer Support

Chester - North West

The Role

To support the Collections team with all daily administration tasks. This key role will allow the Collectors to concentrate fully on their roles and not be burdened by administrative tasks. Creating this admin role will result in Collectors having more time to contact and resolve key cases and will also help improve efficiencies within the team.

The Responsibilities
- Review and allocation of daily BACS reports. ARRUD, ADDACS, DDIC etc.
- Bank Statement reconciliation ensure all incoming payments allocated to correct agreement and nominals
- Managing Collections Inbox.
- Completing searches such as Equifax, tracker, land reg etc
- Dealing with incoming post, including saving to systems
- Outgoing mail review before mailing
- Contacting customers regarding cancelled DDIs
- Locating and saving key contract information to Leasesoft
- Answering incoming calls
- Contacting clients regarding outstanding payments
- Collecting customer payments in accordance with payment schedules
- Reviewing various call stacks
- Support internal Legal & Litigation Officer.

Key Skills
- Excellent communication skills in all forms; confident telephone manner and excellent customer service skills
- knowledge and experience of working in a collections role
- Good all-round administration skills
- Experience of working in a fast-moving environment and ability to work under pressure
- Can relate to people from a variety of different backgrounds
- Be persuasive, persistent and self-motivated.
- Show empathy, assertiveness, tact and resilience
- Good numeracy and literacy skills
- Capable of working independently as well as part of a team
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Attention to detail
- Computer literacy
