**Main duties of the job**:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a therapy research assistant (band 3). This post is focused on assisting the B7 physio lead to deliver prehabilitation and rehabilitation to a large caseload of patients awaiting for and undergoing liver transplantation, as part of a large dual-centred NIHR EME Grant funded Randomised Control Trial. You will help to deliver and coordinate the intervention/control whilst liaising closely with the research team as well as with wider healthcare professionals.

The post holders will undergo specialist training, delivered by world leading experts, within the research team.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone who wishes to develop some research skills whilst working as a therapy assistant.

The Physiotherapy Service actively supports individual CPD and personal development.

**Experience**:
**Essential criteria**:

- Recent experience as a Therapy assistant/ rehabilitation assistant or other equivalent enabling role, including relevant undergraduate studies
- Experience within an acute hospital /healthcare environment
- Experience of working with at least one of the following: Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech and Language Therapy, Podiatry, Dietetics
- Experience of using aids and adaptations
- Experience of ordering and delivering aids and adaptations

**Desirable criteria**:

- Experience of supervising/teaching individuals

- Maths and English to GCSE level or equivalent
